Paul and Julie Larson are owners of SunRay Dairy LLP. The dairy farm was built in 1994, and was originally home to 300-400 milking Holsteins plus their calves and heifers. In 2010, a small herd of Jerseys was added to SunRay's inventory of milking cows, and in 2012, Paul and Julie decided to convert their entire herd to Jerseys.
So, in 2014, SunRay Dairy completed its 20th year in business! That's a pretty young age as compared to many family farms in Wisconsin, but none the less, SunRay is a family farm...Julie and Paul work there every day, and their three children learned a good work ethic there themselves while they grew through elementary...middle...and high school.
SunRay is part of a rural community in west central Wisconsin, and through the years, there have been many local people and businesses who have helped this family farm prosper. In turn, Paul and Julie are committed to supporting local businesses and the students in their school district.
Currently, Paul and Julie are direct marketing meat from animals they have raised at SunRay. Slow but sure, they are working toward being able to manufacture and sell dairy products made from the milk produced by their cows.
