Hanging on to the warmth of autumn
In the photo, she's curled up on the straw bale in front of the milking parlor...assuming she's part of the fall decoration there, and soaking up every bit of sun she can. I find her there most days this fall, often with her pal Gordy, the gray tabby. Both are good mousers and content here, getting to come inside overnight in the winter, and getting a little of the calves' milk to drink most days. One of Muff's babies is Apricot, and her domain is across the road from the dairy, in the goat barn. She's a happy cat...I guess all three are, really; they play and talk a lot around us.
Another of Muff's babies is Socks...he's a city cat now, and loving it...he lives with our daughter. (Socks decided early in life that he would rather be waited on than go hunt for any of his meals!)
I hope you are soaking up the sun this fall also! It really is a
beautiful time of year here in Wisconsin. Sallie
